Over the last couple of days there were a few things that happened which made me think spring is on the way. The first was the temperature reaching 40 degrees on Sunday - it seems like forever since we have gotten out of the 20s.
Then, as I was out running some errands, I saw a robin! I couldn't believe it - a robin on the last day of January. It brought a smile to my face just thinking about the upcoming season.
Another sign was seen at the Greater Philadelphia Golf Show in Oak, Pa. Thousands of people attended the show and it seemed as if they all had golf fever. They were buying equipment, training aids, clothes and shoes as well as practicing on an indoor range.
The Lehigh Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau had a booth set up to promote Lehigh Valley Stay & Play Golf Packages at the show. I spoke to several people who were really excited to come play the courses in the Valley, especially Riverview, Center Valley, Southmoore and Olde Homestead. With all the talk of golf it made me want to go out and play a round. I would have to say that I am an avid golfer albeit a tad addicted.
The signs of spring quickly disappeared and reality sank in when the forecast for the upcoming week included MORE SNOW! UGH! Even good ol' Punxsutawney Phil predicted six more weeks of winter! How disappointing. What do you think?

I thought the same thing, until I realized 6 weeks is only March 15th. How much earlier could Spring really come. Here is poll idea.

I can't wait for spring to arrive! Yesterday I was driving home from my parent's house in Warminster and the temperature was 57 degrees. I even saw one person with their convertible roof down. No, not me...too many papers in my car that would have blown out.
Happy Ground Hogs day!

I noticed the return of the robins last week, too. It really got me excited for spring. I am so sick of this weather.
